5 ways to envision your success

by Rich Lazzara

Can you envision yourself being successful?  I mean really see it, including the smallest details. We’ll if you can’t you need to learn how because without envisioning success accomplishing it is impossible.

We recently sold a yacht to a man who shared with me the secret of his success.   This man, we’ll call him Tim, was living on the streets less than ten years ago.  He literally had nothing except a card board box with some of his clothes in it.  Tim had fallen on very hard times and between some bad choices and failed business attempts Tim now faced life on the streets.  Yet here he sat before me, only ten years later, having just purchased a multi-million dollar Lazzara Yacht and a multi-million dollar jet in the same month. How was he able to do that was the question I wanted to know.  He told me he envisioned it!  He shared that he literally envisioned everyday what his life of success was going to look like. He not only envisioned it everyday, but all day.  So much so that the vision became his reality, way before it ever happened.

Listening to John tell me his story was inspiring for certain.  Then the other day I came across this video that Tony Robbins, Frank Kerns and John Reese did not too long ago.  Its a 38min video but the part from min 14-22 is the best part and really speaks to the power of envisioning success.

These examples of successful entrepreneurs, both envisioned their success before it happened.  So the question is, how do you envision success?

Here are 5 ways to envision success.

1) Envision what your life will look like. No detail is too small.  What time will you get up? What will you eat? What will you drive? Where will you live?

2) Envision what your work will look like.  What is a typical day going to be like as a successful entrepreneur. What are the daily things you will have to do?  What does your office look like? What product will you sell?

3) Envision what your attitude will be. Are you be extroverted or introverted? Will you be domineering?  Will you be friendly? What will be the way you handle yourself day to day?

4) Envision what your customers, prospects, clients are like.  What type of person will you do business with? What are their goals and aspirations? What type of personalities do they have?  How old are they? What are their hobbies?

5) Now, write your vision down.   Its one thing to think about all of this, but putting it “down on paper” will allow you to read it back to yourself.  Doing this will reinforce the vision you have.

These 5 things may sound simple, even silly to some of you.  However those of you that do it and envision it over and over again, you will be successful.
