Entrepreneurs Should Follow The Rabbit Hole

Entrepreneurs Should Follow The Rabbit Hole

“I think of six impossible things before breakfast”

That was a quote often repeated in the most recent version of Alice In Wonderland.

Having  recently taken my daughter to see the movie I couldn’t help but think what a great reminder that is to all entrepreneurs.  In fact the whole movie begins with an entrepreneurial endeavor and ends with one as well.  Alice’s father having seen the early opportunity to start a large shipping conglomerate has a huge influence on his daughter in later years as she ends up following in his footsteps.

Think Like A Child

In an earlier post about creative thinking I extol the virtues of thinking like a child in order to stimulate creativity.  This couldn’t be more applicable than when it comes to envisioning your future ideas.  As entrepreneurs we need to face each opportunity, each day with the impossible in mind.

By allowing ourselves to think impossible thoughts on a regular basis it allows us to become accustomed to that way of looking at things. In turn as opportunities present themselves we will be better prepared to see the possibilities and not miss something.

Act Like A Child

Engaging in impossible thinking is important but acting on it is critical.  What are the things you would like to do that seem impossible? Have your own business? Be your own boss? Launch your new idea?

While all of those things may be seemingly impossible one thing is for certain, if you don’t act on them they are impossible.  Now is the time to get started on your impossible ideas.  Take the leap into the rabbit hole, you’ll be surprised at what you find.
