You and I are 99.99% the same!
In fact not just you and I but the entire human race. The code that makes up our DNA differs from one person to the next by only .01% . If that’s the case then why are we so different?
It’s amazing to me to think that 99.99% of the DNA that makes up LeBron James or Steve Jobs is the same DNA that makes up you and I. Think about that for a minute. If that’s the case then really what is holding you back from achieving the same thing? If we are essentially the exact same then logic would suggest that we should be able to perform, excel and achieve similar status as any other human.
Now I realize there are a whole host of things that influence, shape and mold us to be different from one another. It’s not just about DNA. I also know that I am never going to play in the NBA and more than likely will never be the CEO of Apple computer. However if I possess the same “building blocks” as those that have, then I should be able to achieve whatever anyone else has.
Whats Holding You Back
With so much in common it should be hard not to have a mind set that you can accomplish anything. But alas that’s not what the voice inside your head tells you. You know the voices, the one’s that tell you “you can’t” , “you’re not good enough”, “that’s been done before” or “that won’t work” . It’s those voices that we hear which allow the seemingly inconsequential .01% difference to become a mountain we cant overcome.
It’s time for you to get up, get out and go after your dreams. That person you aspire to be like or emulate, guess what, you’re already 99.99% of the way there. Focus your dreams, your goals and your efforts to achieve the things you want.
